Infrastructure Project Phase 1

To help keep residents and business owners informed, the City will post weekly construction updates as they become available. These updates will include information about the current schedule, upcoming work, and other items related to the project.

Updates are expected to be provided late Tuesday afternoons. If a weekly update is not available, any new information or notes will be posted below as they are received. Construction update flyers will also be available at the Post Office and at OM Food Mart on the south side of Kandiyohi. Moore Engineering will prepare the update flyers, and the City will distribute them.

Key Notes
• The public is urged to use caution throughout this construction season and to stay clear of all construction equipment & areas being actively worked on.

• Please use caution when driving on the roads of the project. Not all roads will be passable with all vehicles at all times. Use caution when roads are muddy due to rain. 

• There may be times of temporary water shut downs as the contractor is working on temporary hook-ups and main installations.

Weekly Update •The contractor will be sub-cutting McDermott Avenue, 7th Street and 5th Street.
Looking Ahead • The contractor will continue sub-cutting McDermott Avenue, 7th Street and 5th Street. They will begin building the subgrade for McDermott Avenue, 7th Street, and 5th Street.

June 9, 2026
Weekly Update • The contractor will be working on the storm sewer on 5th Street and McDermott Avenue. Concrete curb & gutter and driveways on 3rd Street and McLaughlin Ave.
Looking Ahead • The contractor will begin sub-cutting 7th Street, McDermott Avenue, and 5th Street.

June 2, 2026
Weekly Update • The contractor will be working on the sanitary sewer 5th Street South.
Looking Ahead • The contractor will begin sub-cutting 7th Street and McDermott Avenue.

May 26, 2026
